Nani helped Manchester United to a three nil lsecond leg lead over Bayern Munich at Old Trafford. The Portuguese attacker scored twice as Sir Alex Ferguson’s side took a three goal lead within 40 first half minutes.
Darron Gibson put the home side ahead with a typical long ranger after just 2 minutes and Nani added a second after some good work from Luis Antonio Valencia with just seven minutes on the clock. Valencia then produced another big of magic to set up Nani for his second and Man United’s third.
Ivica Olic scored straight after to set the game up nicely. Rafael was sent off early in the second half to balance the tie on a knife edge. Arjen Robben then netted the crucial away goal that gave the Bundesliga side the edge in the tie overall.
